Chrome x Rab Downpour Pant
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
Chrome x Rab Downpour Pant are lightweight, waterproof rain pants developed for bicycle commuting. Chrome and British brand Rab have combined Chrome’s experience with urban cycling apparel and Rab’s expertise in technical shell garments, resulting in rain pants made for cycling—not just a regular pair of shell pants that happen to work on a bike.
The material is Rab’s 20D Proflex™ in a stretchy 2.5-layer construction with a 20,000 mm hydrostatic head and a stated breathability rating of 20,000 g/m²/24 h. This provides solid protection from rain while allowing moisture and heat to escape as you pedal. The surface has a fluorocarbon-free DWR treatment, and the lightweight 72 g/m² fabric makes the pants easy to pack into your bag when the rain eases.
The fit is Regular, but the cut is adapted for cycling, with pre-shaped panels that allow freedom of movement when seated on the bike. Zipped ventilation openings along the sides let you release excess heat when the pace picks up, which is a major advantage over simpler rain pants, where you can easily end up almost as wet from the inside.
The leg openings are narrow to keep excess fabric away from the drivetrain, but can be opened with a gusseted construction so the pants can be pulled on over shoes. Reflective panels on the calves and thighs also provide extra visibility when illuminated in the dark.
Cycling in the rain is rarely particularly enjoyable, but the right rainwear makes a big difference. Downpour Pant is ideal for anyone who commutes by bike even when the forecast looks poor and wants rain pants that combine serious weather protection with stretch, ventilation, and low weight. When the weather improves, they take up little space in your bag and are ready again the next time the skies open.

Build your custom dream bicycle with us
Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
