Genesis Croix de Fer 40 (Depeche Mauve)
Hurry up, only 2 items left in stock.
Genesis Croix de Fer 40 is a versatile steel gravel bike for anyone who wants everyday riding and adventure to be close at hand. The Reynolds 725 frame provides a confidence-inspiring and lively ride for commuting, gravel, winter rides, and light bikepacking. Croix de Fer is Genesis’s most iconic model – in 2010, Vin Cox set the world record for cycling around the world on an almost standard-equipped Croix de Fer.
Shimano GRX 1x12 with a 40T chainring and a 10–51T cassette provides a wide gear range for everything from fast asphalt to steep gravel roads and riding with luggage. Hydraulic Shimano GRX brakes and Maxxis Rambler 700x45 mm tires provide control, grip, and comfort when the road gets rougher, while the Amplitude G100 wheels are tubeless-ready.
Choose the Genesis Croix de Fer 40 if you are looking for a gravel bike made from Reynolds 725 steel that works just as well for everyday riding as it does for longer adventures. Order the bike here or get in touch if you have any questions.

Build your custom dream bicycle with us
Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
