If you only need one brake lever, the Avid FR-5 is a good option. It can be mounted on either the left or right side of the handlebar and is sold individually. This version is silver/black.
The FR-5 has long pull for V-brakes and mechanical disc brakes with MTB cable routing, such as the Avid BB5 MTB and BB7 MTB. The reach can be adjusted to suit your hand, and cable tension can be fine-tuned with the lever's adjustment screw.
