Belldorado Golden Shuppi started with a fairly simple idea: can you print a gold color on fabric that actually shimmers and looks like gold, instead of something that is merely yellow? The answer was yes—and the result is a cycling cap covered in a golden dragon and scales running across the entire cap.
The name has its own little story. The working name was Golden Schuppi, from the German word Schuppen for scales, but somewhere along the way a c disappeared and Shuppi stayed. Belldorado then discovered that shuppi is also used in Japanese for expenses, which suited a gold dragon rather well. Hidden among the scales at the back are symbols for the euro, dollar, yen, and more.
As usual with Belldorado, the design was created for the cap itself, not simply printed on top of it. The dragon’s face runs across the front, the scales continue around the panels, and the mouth sits on the brim. One of the teeth is, of course, gold as well. It is detailed, a little strange, and exactly as personal as a good cycling cap should be.
Golden Shuppi has a classic three-panel construction with an elastic edge and is thin enough to wear under a helmet. It was designed by Belldorado in Munich and made by Apis in Italy. A great choice for anyone who thinks cycling clothing should have humor, a story, and a little more gold than is strictly necessary.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
