A Brooks leather saddle is made to be used for a long time, but the leather needs a little care to retain its suppleness and resist moisture. Brooks Proofide is the leather dressing Brooks themselves recommend for their leather saddles, and it is used both on a new saddle during the break-in period and for regular maintenance once the saddle has seen a few years and many miles.
Apply a thin layer of Proofide to the top of the leather and let it soak in before buffing away the excess with a soft cloth. On the underside, a thin layer can be left in place to provide extra protection against dirt and moisture. Use sparingly—too much Proofide can make the leather unnecessarily soft—and never apply it to a wet saddle.
On a new Brooks leather saddle, Proofide helps the leather become more supple during the break-in period. After that, it is normally enough to treat the saddle every few months. This is therefore not something to apply after every ride in the rain, but a simple part of the long-term maintenance of a Brooks B17, Team Pro, Swift, Flyer, or any of the brand’s other traditional leather saddles.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
