Nelson Longflap is one of Carradice's true classics. This is a versatile and extremely spacious saddlebag with a full 18-liter capacity, built for gravel road adventures, bikepacking, serious long-distance cycling, and everyday commuting. The classic "Longflap" design (the extendable flap) allows you to easily expand the capacity when needed – ideal for multi-day adventures or when you quickly want to strap extra layers, sleeping pads, and gear on the outside.
The bag is made from 100% waterproof, heavy-duty 18oz waxed cotton canvas with self-sealing seams. It offers completely reliable protection for your gear in all weather conditions, and the fabric can easily be re-waxed over time to ensure an almost eternal lifespan. The forest green Field Green finish beautifully complements details in burgundy leather and brown straps, providing a perfect balance between classic British heritage style and modern adventure bikes.
The bag attaches smoothly directly to the saddle loops or can advantageously be combined with a Bagman support rack to guarantee maximum stability and a rattle-free ride when the terrain gets really rough.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
