Dia-Compe MX-2 Lo-Pro is an old-school V-brake with clear roots in the 90s MTB and BMX era. A great choice for a retro mountain bike, a 26-inch commuter or a custom build with classic components. The cold-forged aluminum arms and low profile give the brake a compact appearance.
Spring tension is adjusted individually on both arms to center the brake against the rim. The MX-2 comes with low-profile Dia-Compe S-pads and is used with long-pull brake levers for V-brakes.
The front and rear versions are essentially the same brake; the difference is how the brake pads are mounted. If we only have one version in stock, it can therefore be used both front and rear by adjusting the pad orientation during installation.
