Halo Vapour GXC is a lightweight 700c/29" front wheel for gravel, ultra-distance, road plus, and light touring, especially appealing when you want to combine modern standards with a more classic silver build. The Special Edition version features a silver-colored rim, hub, spokes, and nipples, making it equally at home on a modern gravel build or a more understated custom bike with silver components from brands such as Nitto, Velo Orange, or White Industries.
The rim has an internal width of 21 mm and an external width of 26 mm, with a depth of 22.5 mm. This provides proportions that work well with gravel tires, high-volume road tires, and narrower MTB tires without making the GXC an unnecessarily heavy touring wheel. Halo describes the Vapour GXC as the lightest wheel series in the Vapour family, and this front wheel weighs 780 grams.
The wheel uses 28 double-butted J-bend spokes and wide hub flanges. The choice of standard J-bend spokes is particularly sensible on a bike intended for longer distances: if a spoke is damaged, it is considerably easier to find a replacement than with a proprietary spoke system. The rim comes pre-taped and is Tubeless Ready, so you can build a tubeless gravel wheel without having to tape the rim yourself first.
Check the standards on your fork before ordering. This is the front wheel for a 12x100 mm thru-axle and Centerlock brake rotor – not Boost 12x110 and not 6-bolt. Choose the Vapour GXC if you are looking for a lightweight, service-friendly 700c gravel front wheel with tubeless compatibility and modern axle and brake standards, but want silver instead of the much more common all-black appearance.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.

After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
