MKS Sylvan Touring Pedals - Silver

MKS Sylvan Touring is a classic platform pedal for touring, commuting, and everyday cycling. The model has been around for over four decades, and the double-sided platform makes it easy to step onto regardless of which way the pedal is facing. The grip surface works with most everyday and cycling shoes, providing good traction without being so aggressive that it unnecessarily wears down the soles.

The platform measures 94 x 63 mm and provides plenty of room to reposition your foot during longer rides. The pedal is also designed to accommodate toe clips and straps if you want better control and want to keep your foot in the same position.

A major part of the MKS Sylvan Touring’s strength is its simple, serviceable construction. The hand-adjusted cup-and-cone bearings sit on a cold-forged Japanese steel axle and can be cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted instead of replacing the entire pedal. A good example of why MKS pedals remain popular on touring and city bikes long after many more modern alternatives have come and gone.
