A good chain breaker for the home workshop when you need to shorten a new chain or remove a worn one. The Unior 1647HOBBY/4P-US is designed for 5- to 11-speed chains and has a threaded spindle that pushes out the chain rivet. The plastic-coated handles provide a comfortable grip while working.
We also often use it for 1/2 × 1/8″ chains, even though Unior's stated compatibility is 5- to 11-speed. Unior is a Slovenian manufacturer of seriously good bicycle tools.
