Vintage Cycling Cap - Mapei

This colorful vintage cycling cap is based on the Mapei team’s classic design from the 1990s. The dark blue panel with its white Mapei logo is broken up by the distinctive pattern of colorful cubes across the crown and brim. It’s not subtle, but that was never the point.

Mapei competed at the highest level from 1993 to 2002 and became especially associated with the spring classics and the cobbles of Paris–Roubaix. The team’s dominance was perhaps best summed up in 1996, when Johan Museeuw, Gianluca Bortolami, and Andrea Tafi took the top three places in the race. During the same period, the colorful team kit became one of professional cycling’s most recognizable designs.

The short brim can be worn down or turned up, and the lightweight construction works well under a cycling helmet. Made in Italy from a polyester-cotton blend, the cap comes in one size that fits most.
