Located by Björn’s garden at Medborgarplatsen (between the restaurant Kvarnen and Carmen), address Tjärhovsgatan 14.
At Urban Bike Wear we are passionate about good personal service.
We want to give both the cyclist and the bicycle that little extra for the best experience.
With us, the bicycle receives the care it deserves — for easy rolling, quiet, and safe cycling.
We have experienced and professional bicycle mechanics available on weekdays.
We do not work with electric-assisted bicycles or other electronic means of transport such as electric scooters (this also applies to regular scooters/kickbikes). Bicycles are welcome in the workshop.

We also have drop-in when space/time allows, just drop by and we will solve the problem (usually within a day).
You can always call us at 08-533 327 05 if you have a specific need.
Please make sure the bicycle is cleaned before it visits us, due to environmental technical reasons we cannot wash bicycles. If the bicycle is clean, we can perform our work much better!
Prices bicycle workshop:
Note that we basically do not work with fixed prices and all below are excluding parts. The cost is determined on an individual basis.
- The cost for one hour of mechanic work is 1000 SEK. We invoice per started quarter hour at 250 SEK.
- Puncture repair front tire (incl. tube) from 369 SEK
- Puncture repair rear tire (incl. tube) from 419 SEK
- Bicycle wheel building. Truing per wheel (rim, hub and spokes) excl. materials from 1000 SEK
BASIC service = 45-60 min
- Bottom bracket and crankset checked and externally adjusted
- Brakes checked and adjusted
- Chain oiled if necessary
- Frame and fork inspected for damage
- Gears checked and adjusted
- Headset and bolts inspected
- Wheel hubs externally adjusted and checked
- Safety check of bicycle accessories
- Tires checked for damage and pumped to correct pressure
PRO service = 2-3h
As above BASIC service including: Drivetrain completely disassembled (chain, crankset, bottom bracket, sprockets/cassette) cleaned, installed and greased. We also check wheel and headset bearings.
