UrbanBikeWear.com started in December 2012 in Johan's living room with a small selection of cycling clothes and bags for bike commuting. From the beginning, UBW's concept has been to carefully select from the large market and find brands with a lot of soul. Our ambition is to be your niche bike shop where you can feel confident that the assortment is chosen just for you.

Today we ship to customers in more than 48 countries and try to have a wide range of cycling clothes and bike bags from Chrome Industries, Bagaboo, Endura, Vaude, Swrve, and more. Brands that meet our quality requirements and are used by high-performing cyclists all over the world.

Our focus areas are Fixed gear, Single speed, Road, Gravel, and Bikepacking. The latter is a segment we are particularly fond of, and we are happy to help you find the right bike, bags, or equipment for your bikepacking adventure. For the urban fixed hub and single speed cyclist, we have many messenger bags and stylish clothes that withstand heavy wear and tear.

When we opened our physical bike shop “Urban Bike Wear & The Mechanics” in 2015, we began working with bike manufacturers such as Cinelli, Genesis Bikes, Brother Cycles, Surly, Bombtrack, Salsa, and others. Both for their approach to quality and their focus on making cycling fun. At Tjärhovsgatan 14, we also got more space, so we started importing Chris King, Runwell, Izumi, Vision, Nitto, MKS, Dia-Compe, Grewtac, White Industries, Restrap, and other more niche brands that we love.
