BLB Freestyle Chainring 1/8" 130 BCD - 44T - Black

Front chainring for freestyle fixed gear, extra robust and built to last. The BLB Freestyle Chainring has a 35 mm deep profile that provides more material around the chainring, making it a good choice for a fixed gear used hard, or when you simply want a sturdy 1/8-inch chainring with a 130 BCD.

130 BCD is common on many complete fixed gear and single-speed bikes. This chainring fits, for example, the cranksets on the Cinelli Tutto Plus and Gazzetta, but the important thing is that your crankset has five chainring bolts and a 130 mm bolt circle. The chain should be 1/8 inch.

With 44 teeth, you get a slightly easier gear ratio than with the 46–48T chainrings common on more traditional fixed gear builds. This is a good fit when you want a little quicker acceleration, ride a lot in the city, or simply prefer an easier gear ratio.

When the teeth start to become pointed like shark teeth or are visibly worn in the material, it is time to replace the chainring. If the drivetrain has been used for a long time, we recommend checking the chain and rear sprocket or freewheel at the same time. The parts wear together, and a new chainring performs best when the rest of the drivetrain is still in good condition.
