BLB Lil Quill is a simple and affordable quill stem for bikes with a threaded 1-inch fork. It works well on older road, track, and steel bikes where you want to retain a classic quill stem while still having some flexibility in your choice of handlebar.
The stem has a 26.0 mm clamp diameter but can also be tightened around 25.4 mm handlebars. This is a practical detail on older bikes, where both dimensions are common and the choice of handlebar can otherwise easily be limited by the stem. Lil Quill is made of aluminum, and the silver finish naturally complements classic handlebars, seatposts, and other polished components.
This version has an 80 mm length and an 18-degree angle. Compared with the 60 mm version, it provides a slightly longer reach and is therefore better suited when you want a somewhat more stretched-out position or when the frame geometry requires more length forward.
The important thing before buying is to check both the fork and the handlebar. Lil Quill is designed for a traditional threaded 1-inch fork and should not be confused with a modern Ahead stem for an unthreaded steerer tube. If you have the correct standard, it is a straightforward and useful stem for keeping an older build both functional and stylistically correct.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.

After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
