Mr Wooden is a frame set for all purposes from Brother Cycles – it is a modern long-distance rider, a gravel bike, a touring bike that is not afraid to venture onto the trails. All kinds of cycling where the experience rather than the destination is the goal. Mr Wooden simply becomes what you make of it. The frame kit is designed to run a 650B quick-release wheel (tire clearance up to 50 mm) with rim brakes and has a low/mid trail fork. With a pair of decent cantilever or V-brakes, you get good braking power and the bike becomes lighter compared to disc brakes. Some also claim that rim brakes are easier to maintain and service when needed. It is also aesthetically pleasing for those with a retro heart.
The frame is made of double-butted 4130 CrMo, a functional material that provides the perfect balance between performance and durability. It has been treated with an ED coating under the paint to protect against corrosion. Mr Wooden is fully equipped to fit front and rear racks, mudguards, and takes three bottle holders of all sizes. You can go full vintage and mount gear levers on the down tube or use them as cable stops for modern gear groups. The fork is designed to handle some extra weight if you want to run a long-distance rider bag on a front rack or why not a low rider rack.
*Note that you need 650B (584 mm) rims with a braking surface, for example Velo Orange Voyager. Velocity also makes nice rims. We are happy to build wheels for you!

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
