Carradice Barley Saddlebag (9L) - Field Green

Carradice Barley is a versatile favorite in the Carradice Originals range and a highly useful saddlebag for long gravel rides, light bikepacking, touring, full-day rides, and commuting. The compact 9-liter capacity provides ample space for tools, extra layers, provisions, and anything else you want to bring during the day, while the bag maintains a streamlined, low-profile shape beneath the saddle.

The bag is made from durable 18 oz waxed cotton canvas with self-sealing seams, providing reliable protection from rain and mud splashes on rougher roads. The material can be re-waxed and repaired over time, so Barley is built for many years of use rather than just a few seasons. Field Green is combined with burgundy leather details and brown straps for Carradice's characteristic touring look.

Barley attaches with leather straps to the saddle's bag loops and is stabilized against the seatpost. If the saddle does not have bag loops, you can add Carradice Saddle Loops, which attach to the saddle rails, or use the Bagman Quick Release Clamp if you want to remove and reattach the bag more quickly. For better support with heavier loads, rough gravel, and longer rides, Barley also works with Carradice's Bagman support.

Its size is precisely what makes Barley so easy to live with. It holds considerably more than a small saddlebag for a tube and tools, while still being much more streamlined than Carradice's larger Longflap and touring models. A great choice when you want a traditional saddlebag with enough room for a full day on the bike, without building your entire setup around a larger bag.
