Carradice Lowsaddle Longflap Saddlebag (15L) - Field Green

Carradice Lowsaddle Longflap is designed for bikes with smaller frames or a lower saddle height, where a regular large saddlebag can easily end up too close to the rear wheel. Its lower shape provides more clearance beneath the saddle without sacrificing much packing capacity, making the bag a good choice for touring, bikepacking and longer day rides.

The 15-litre capacity is enough for a change of clothes, rain gear, food, tools and other equipment for a long day or a lightweight multi-day trip. The Longflap lid can be extended as your load grows and also lets you strap, for example, an extra layer of clothing to the outside. The two side pockets keep smaller items easily accessible without having to open the main compartment.

The bag is made from heavy-duty 18 oz waxed cotton canvas with self-sealing seams. The material keeps the weather out, can be rewaxed when the protection needs renewing, and can be maintained and repaired after many years of use. Field Green is combined with burgundy leather details, brown straps and metal buckles—the classic Carradice look that gains more character the more the bag is used.

Lowsaddle Longflap attaches to the saddle's bag loops and can be combined with a Carradice Bagman support for improved support and stability when carrying heavier loads or cycling on rough roads. The bag measures 36 × 19 × 19 cm and can expand to 44 cm in height. Despite its lower shape, you still need to check the clearance between the saddle and rear wheel before ordering, as the available space varies with frame size, wheel size and saddle position.

Compared with Nelson Longflap, Lowsaddle is primarily the right choice when you need more clearance beneath the saddle. You get slightly less volume, but the same Longflap concept and the same traditional Carradice construction in a format that works better on smaller bikes and with lower saddle heights.
