Chrome Folsom Short 2.0 Brindle
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
Chrome Folsom Short 2.0 is a pair of cycling shorts for anyone who wants to be able to ride far through the city without looking like they are on their way to a workout. We commute by bike ourselves on fixed gear and single speed in Folsom, and it is a model that has continued to deliver year after year. They look and function like a regular pair of shorts when you get off the bike, but the construction is made to withstand considerably more time in the saddle.
Chrome’s Everest fabric is durable, water-repellent, and has four-way stretch that provides good freedom of movement while pedaling. The crotch features a seamless, double layer of fabric to reduce wear where the shorts meet the saddle, and the reinforced 3-needle flat-felled seams are made to withstand many miles and plenty of everyday use. These are the kinds of details that make the Folsom proper cycling shorts rather than regular shorts made from a stretchy fabric.
The Folsom has a six-panel construction and four pockets. The rear pockets are so-called floating pockets with flat seams, which reduces the amount of material between you and the saddle. At the waist is Chrome’s characteristic U-lock holder in heavy-duty webbing, allowing a U-lock to be carried directly on the shorts. Reinforced belt loops, matte-black details, and a reflective patch at the back complete the construction without making the shorts overly technical.
With an 11" inseam and athletic fit, the Folsom sits closer to the body and is shorter than the Chrome Union 2.0, which has a 14" leg and a roomier fit. The Folsom is therefore our choice when you want more streamlined cycling shorts for commuting, fixed gear, single speed, and other days when cycling is a major part of everyday life but not the entire day.
Brindle gives the model a more understated, earthy look than the black version and is easy to pair with the rest of your wardrobe. Better shorts than the Chrome Folsom are still difficult to find if you want a pair that is genuinely built for cycling but that you will happily continue wearing after you have parked your bike.

Build your custom dream bicycle with us
Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
