To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Chrome has reproduced the Metropolis in a limited edition – an iconic messenger bag designed for those who demand maximum space, extreme durability, and uncompromising functionality in everyday life.
With a generous volume of 40 liters, this messenger bag holds everything you need for today’s adventures, whether it’s heavy grocery bags, a change of clothes, or daily deliveries.
A waterproof and durable bike bag for all weather
The Chrome Metropolis is built to withstand everything it faces. The bag is constructed with an outer shell of extremely durable nylon and features a fully independent, floating TPE liner ("floating bucket liner"). This means the bag is completely waterproof and keeps your gear bone dry, even during persistent downpours while cycling.
Thanks to the smart, separate compartments inside, you can easily keep a wet rain jacket apart from dry and clean gear.
Ergonomic comfort and the iconic belt buckle
When cycling with heavy loads, fit is everything. The Metropolis is equipped with a fixed, heavily padded, and ergonomic shoulder strap that perfectly distributes the weight over your shoulder. The integrated stabilizer strap (cross-chest strap) ensures the bag stays firmly on your back and doesn’t slide forward when you lean over the handlebars or sprint through traffic.
Of course, the bag features Chrome’s patented, iconic metal seatbelt buckle – complete with the built-in bottle opener. The buckle lets you quickly click off the bag without having to lift it over your head.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
