The graphics are exclusively designed for Cinelli by Mike Giant, the American artist with roots in graffiti, tattoo art, and skateboard culture. He is also a cyclist closely connected to the fixed gear scene, making the collaboration more relevant than just an artist’s signature placed on a regular handlebar tape.
Cinelli and Mike Giant met in California in 2008, when the new fixed gear culture around groups like MASH began gaining international attention. The result was a series of bike products featuring Giant’s distinctive designs – clear black-and-white line graphics referencing classic tattoo art.
The handlebar tape has a PU base with a velvety surface. It is 2 mm thick and provides a relatively slim grip on the handlebars. If you’re mainly looking for maximum cushioning, there are thicker options; here, it’s the combination of grip, graphics, and Cinelli’s cycling cultural history that makes the product interesting.
The tape fits drop bars and other handlebars that require wrapping. Handlebar plugs with Mike Giant designs and finishing tape are included. We personally prefer regular electrical tape for the finish, as it’s easy to stretch, secure, and replace.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
