Dia-Compe BRS100 is a black dual-pivot brake caliper for the rear wheel, with short reach and cold-forged aluminum arms. A simple, classic option for road and singlespeed builds with rim brakes. The indexed quick-release function opens the brake when changing the wheel, and Dia-Compe 101 brake pads are included.
Reach is 39–49 mm, measured from the center of the brake mounting hole to the center of the rim’s braking surface. The BRS100 is used with short-pull brake levers for caliper brakes.
Tire clearance depends on the brake’s position in the frame, the rim width, and the tire’s actual width and height. The reach measurement indicates the brake pad adjustment range and should not be interpreted as the maximum tire width.
