Dia-Compe BRS101 is a dual-pivot long-reach front brake, particularly appealing for fixed-gear bikes where you only want to mount a front brake. It provides good braking power in a simple, classic design without altering the bike’s minimalist look more than necessary.
The brake arms are made of cold-forged aluminum, and the dual-pivot design provides stable, smooth braking action. The quick-release function makes it easy to open the brake when removing the front wheel.
The BRS101 has a 45–57 mm reach and comes with Dia-Compe 101 brake pads. Check the distance between the fork’s brake mount and the rim’s braking surface before purchasing to ensure the brake’s reach fits your bike.
