Dia-Compe BRS202 is a dual-pivot brake caliper for the rear wheel with an extra-long reach of 57–75 mm. It is intended for frames where a standard road caliper cannot reach the rim’s braking surface, such as touring bikes and other builds with greater clearance between the brake bridge and rim. A classic option for bikes with rim brakes and short-pull brake levers.
The brake arms are cold-forged aluminum with a black anodized finish. Dia-Compe’s indexed quick release opens the brake when removing the rear wheel, and 101 brake pads are included. The long reach can provide clearance for larger tires and fenders, but the actual clearance depends on the frame, rim, and tire.
