Dia-Compe 1254 is a cable hanger for classic bicycles with a 1-inch threaded fork and cantilever brakes. It mounts at the headset and provides the front brake cable with the attachment point needed for the cantilever brake to function correctly.
The built-in quick-release function makes it easier to disconnect the cable during servicing or when removing the front wheel, while the cable adjuster allows you to fine-tune the brake cable tension without having to disconnect the cable itself.
A small but important component when building or restoring an older touring, cyclocross, or other bicycle with a 1-inch threaded headset and cantilever brakes.

At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
