Dia-Compe GC08H is a pair of aero brake levers for friction setups, perfect for anyone building a bike with drop handlebars but who doesn’t want modern STI levers. They’re ideal for bikes with friction shifters, bar-end shifters, or single speed builds where the cockpit’s appearance is just as important as its function.
This is the kind of component that can make a build feel right. Clean, classic, and considered – without becoming overly nostalgic. The GC08H is an aero brake lever, which means the brake cable runs through the lever and continues underneath the bar tape. The result is a significantly cleaner cockpit than with older road levers, where the cable exits from the top.
We use them ourselves on builds where we want separate brake levers with a good feel and the right appearance. The ergonomic shape sits naturally in the hand, and the perforated aluminium arm gives the GC08H that classic Gran Compe feel. The levers are designed for short-pull road brakes and are therefore well suited to caliper brakes, for example.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
