Dia-Compe Gold Finger is a compact one-finger brake lever for fixed gear, single speed, BMX, and other builds where you want an effective brake control without cluttering the handlebar with unnecessary components. Its short shape gives it a clean look and makes the Gold Finger especially popular on fixed-gear bikes with only a front brake.
The brake lever and clamp are made from forged aluminum, and the hinged clamp makes installation easy without needing to remove grips or other components from the handlebar. This is the left-hand version, normally used for the front brake.
Gold Finger is a short-pull lever for cantilever, U-brake, and traditional road brakes, among others. It should not be used with standard V-brakes, which require long pull. The 22.2/25.4 mm version uses a 25.4 mm clamp with an included shim for 22.2 mm, while the 31.8 mm version is made directly for oversized handlebars.
