Dia-Compe MX-122 is a true 1980s classic from the BMX era that is still manufactured by Dia-Compe. The short two-finger lever and simple design work just as well on a classic BMX build as on a fixed gear, single speed, or older mountain bike where you want to maintain a stripped-back, period-correct look.
The brake levers are made of aluminum with cold-forged brake arms and a split, hinged clamp that makes them easy to mount on the handlebar. This version has a 22.2 mm clamp diameter and is therefore suitable for standard flat handlebars, riser bars, and other handlebars with MTB-standard diameter at the levers.
MX-122 is sold as a pair with right and left brake levers and is intended for brakes with short cable pull, such as traditional caliper and cantilever brakes. They should not be combined with standard V-brakes, which require longer cable pull.
