Dia-Compe SS6 Brake Levers Silver

Dia-Compe SS6 are powerful brake levers for flat handlebars, developed for caliper, center-pull, and cantilever brakes. They are especially well suited to single speed, touring, city, and older mountain bikes where you want to combine good braking feel with a simple, classic look.

The levers have a cast aluminum mount and cold-forged aluminum brake levers. Reach can be adjusted with a 2 mm Allen key, making it possible to adapt the distance to the handlebar to suit your hands and riding position. A return spring helps the brake lever return and contributes to a distinct feel. We particularly like the SS6 together with compressionless brake housing when you want to get the most out of a traditional rim brake system.

The SS6 has a 22.2 mm clamp diameter for standard MTB and city handlebars and is sold as a pair. They use short cable pull and are therefore not compatible with standard V-brakes, which require more cable pull. A good choice when you want to improve the brakes on a bike with traditional rim brakes without changing the bike's character.
