Endura GV500 Waterproof Shorts, Anthracite

Endura GV500 Waterproof Short are lightweight, waterproof rain shorts for gravel, bikepacking, and long-distance cycling. They also work excellently for commuting by bike when the weather is unpredictable and you want to protect your seat and thighs from rain and road spray without pulling on a pair of full-length rain trousers.

The key is Endura’s ExoShell40, a lightweight 3-layer waterproof material with very high breathability. Fully taped seams keep moisture out, while an extra-durable seat panel protects the area where cycling normally puts the greatest strain on waterproof membranes. It is a technically challenging combination of low weight, weather protection, and ventilation—but we think Endura has succeeded very well.

The shorts pack down small and are easy to stow in a frame bag or saddlebag when the rain eases. An elasticated waist with adjustable shock cord keeps them in place, and Clickfast compatibility means they can be combined with Endura liner shorts. A genuinely excellent shell garment for gravel and bikepacking when the forecast says maybe.
