Genesis Vagabond is a monstercross bike in the broadest sense of the word – the illegitimate love child of a road bike and a mountain bike. A frankenbike in the best possible sense, born from spare-parts bins, a spirit of experimentation, and the eternal question: “I wonder if this would work?”

This is monstercross’s answer to the Hulk, with near-infinite strength and an indefatigable drive forward. Change the tires and its character can shift, but the basic idea remains the same: a bike that does not let the terrain decide where the ride should go.

The Vagabond 20 is equipped with a 12-speed SRAM Apex drivetrain that combines Apex XPLR shifters with an Apex Eagle rear derailleur and an 11–50 cassette. The wide gear range is suited to steep climbs, loose surfaces, and riding with luggage. Hydraulic disc brakes and 2.35-inch-wide Maxxis Ikon tires provide control when the gravel road turns into a trail or simply ceases to be a road.

The Genesis Vagabond 20 is for anyone looking for a steel bike for monstercross, touring, bikepacking, and everyday cycling – and who prefers a bike that leaves room for personal ideas, including ideas others could not even have imagined.
