H PLUS SON SL42 is a 700c rim with a 42 mm deep profile, developed for those who want to build a wheel with a more distinctive look and deeper rim than a traditional road rim. It has long been a popular choice for fixed gear, single speed, and urban custom builds where appearance, stiffness, and aerodynamics all matter.
SL42 is made from H PLUS SON’s G609 aluminum, has a welded seam, and machined brake tracks for rim brakes. With an external width of 19.5 mm, an internal width of 13.5 mm, and a weight of approximately 615 grams, it is a relatively narrow and deep 700c rim, best suited to classic road, fixed gear, and single speed tires.
