This is the chain we use in the workshop for track, fixed gear, and single speed bikes with a 1/8-inch drivetrain. Izumi Tough Guard has become our standard choice because it combines good durability with rust protection suitable for bikes used year-round.
The Tough Guard version of the Izumi ES410 has a special three-layer treatment that increases resistance to corrosion. This makes it better suited for rain, dirt, and road salt than a regular untreated track chain.
The chain is made in Japan from CroMo steel and comes with 116 links. The dimension is 1/2 × 1/8 inch and fits chainrings and sprockets designed for a 1/8-inch chain.
The rust protection does not replace regular chain maintenance but makes Tough Guard a great choice for a fixed gear or single speed bike used in all weather conditions.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
