Musguard Rear Fender

Musguard Rear Fender is a smart, removable mudguard for anyone who wants rain protection without installing permanent fenders on their bike. It is particularly well suited to fixed-gear, single speed, and city bikes where you want to maintain a clean look and only use the mudguard when the weather requires it.

The rear fender attaches quickly without tools and sits low over the rear wheel, where it catches water and dirt close to the tire before they reach your back and saddle. When the road is dry, you can roll it up to just 9 x 5 cm and put it in your bag or attach it to your bike.

Musguard requires traditional seatstays with a sufficiently wide brake bridge or a cross brace for support. The triangular opening between the seatstays needs to be at least approximately 4.5 cm high. Fixed-gear and disc-brake frames usually work well. On bikes with a rear rim brake, fit may depend on the brake’s position, and in some cases minor modification of the fender may be required. Cantilever brakes are not compatible.
