René Herse 700C x 44 Manastash Ridge TC Standard Bicycle Tire

René Herse Manastash Ridge 700x44C is a fast, heavily treaded gravel tire for rides and races where the surface alternates between asphalt, hard gravel, loose gravel, and mud. The relatively large knobs provide solid grip off asphalt, but are positioned so that the tire is supported by roughly the same amount of rubber throughout, even when the bike is leaned into a corner. The result is a predictable tire that does not feel like a traditionally sluggish off-road tire when the road gets faster.

Manastash Ridge uses René Herse's Brake Support construction to stabilize the knobs under hard braking, along with a noise-reducing tread pattern that makes the tire unusually quiet on asphalt. Compared with Hurricane Ridge, it has slightly lower rolling resistance and is better suited to ordinary gravel riding where you encounter a lot of mixed surfaces. Hurricane Ridge has a more open tread pattern and is the better choice if deep, sticky mud is the top priority.

The Standard casing is René Herse's most affordable construction and combines the supple feel the brand is known for with good durability for regular use. The tire is 44-622, Tubeless Compatible, and made in Japan with tan sidewalls. A strong choice if you are looking for a 700x44 gravel tire with serious grip without giving up speed on harder surfaces.
