The Shimano BB-UN300 is a classic sealed bottom bracket for cranksets with a JIS square taper axle. A simple, proven design for everything from city and touring bikes to single speed and other builds using a traditional square taper crankset. We offer these while Tange's 107 mm square taper bottom brackets are unavailable.
This version is intended for frames with a 68 mm bottom bracket shell and standard BSA threading. The axle length is 107 mm, an important measurement to get right for correct chainline and clearance between the cranks, chainrings, and frame. So check what axle length your crankset requires before choosing a bottom bracket.
The BB-UN300 uses a sealed bearing unit that keeps the bearings and axle protected and requires minimal ongoing maintenance. A straightforward Shimano bottom bracket for replacing a worn bearing or building a bike around a crankset with a JIS square taper interface.
