The Tubolito S-Tubo Road is an Austrian invention that eats butyl inner tubes for breakfast. This tube is designed for bikes with disc brakes, but it works great for those of us who ride fixed gear without brakes, too. It weighs a mere 23 grams (which is absolutely crazy!), and if there’s anywhere you should save weight, it’s on the wheels/rotating mass. You’ll notice the difference when accelerating, and braking distance is improved, too. All good, then? Yes, if you’re willing to pay a little more than for a standard tube.
