The Tubolito S-Tubo Road is an Austrian invention that leaves butyl inner tubes in the dust. This tube is designed for disc-brake bikes, but it also works great for those of us riding brakeless fixed-gear bikes. It weighs a mere 24 grams (which is absolutely insane!), and if there’s one place you should save weight, it’s on the wheels/rotating weight. You’ll notice the difference when accelerating, and braking distance will also improve. All good, then? Yes, if you’re willing to pay a little more than you would for a standard tube.
