This is the chain wear indicator we use every day in our workshop. The Unior Pro Chain Wear Indicator provides a reading of chain wear on a scale from 0 to 1.2 percent. Unlike a simple gauge with fixed check limits, you can track how the wear develops and replace the chain before it causes unnecessary wear to the cassette and chainrings.
The two measuring pins are placed between the chain links, and the movable arm shows the value in the measurement window. The replacement limit follows the chain manufacturer's recommendation for the chain in question. A useful tool for regular servicing, both in the workshop and at home. Unior is a Slovenian manufacturer of seriously good bicycle tools.
