Velo Orange Copenhagen Dual Leg Kickstand
Available in stock
On a commuter or touring bike with bags, it quickly becomes clear if the bike is difficult to park. The Velo Orange Copenhagen is a double-leg kickstand that gives the bike a wide, stable base on two legs—a simple detail that makes a big difference when the bike is used for commuting, shopping, bike trips, or other rides with luggage.
The great thing about the Copenhagen is its design. When the kickstand is folded up, both legs move together to the left side of the bike, away from the chain and drivetrain. This makes it particularly suitable for touring and commuter bikes with rear derailleurs, where a traditional double-leg kickstand with one leg on each side can come too close to the chain. When folded up, the legs also sit closely together and take surprisingly little space for a double-leg kickstand.
The leg length is adjustable and locks in the desired position, so you do not need to cut the kickstand to fit the bike. At maximum length, it measures approximately 31 cm from the mounting plate to the ground, and the feet are approximately 24 cm apart.
If the frame has a dedicated kickstand plate, the Copenhagen mounts directly to it. On a steel frame without a kickstand plate, it can also be clamped between the chainstays using the included upper plate and longer bolt. Before ordering, check that there is enough space between the bottom bracket and the chainstay bridge, and that no cables are in the way. Clamp mounting should not be used on aluminium or carbon frames.
The Copenhagen is not a lightweight kickstand, nor does it try to be one. It is made for bikes where practical function matters more than saving a few hundred grams—classic steel bikes, well-equipped commuter bikes, and touring builds that are actually used with bags and cargo. If you have a rear derailleur, the Copenhagen is also generally the more thoughtfully designed choice over the Velo Orange Porteur Double Leg Kickstand, since both legs fold away on the non-driveside.

Build your custom dream bicycle with us
Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
