Crankbrothers Multi-tool M17 Midnight Black Edition

The Crankbrothers M17 is a compact bike multi-tool with enough features to handle most adjustments and simple repairs out on the road or trail. With 17 functions, it includes hex keys, a Torx T25, screwdrivers, spoke wrenches and a chain tool, all in a format that fits easily in a saddlebag or pack.

The chain tool is compatible with 8-, 9-, 10-, 11- and 12-speed chains, making the M17 useful for everything from older bikes to modern gravel and mountain bike drivetrains. Hex keys from 2 to 8 mm cover many of the most common bolts on a bike, while four spoke wrenches and 8 and 10 mm open-end wrenches offer additional options for adjustments along the way.

The tools are made from high-strength steel, and the side panels provide a better grip when you need to apply force. Measuring 89 × 43 × 19 mm and weighing 168 grams, the M17 is small enough to take along at all times, yet much more useful than the very smallest multi-tools when something actually breaks.

This is a good multi-tool for commuting, gravel, touring, bikepacking and mountain biking - especially if you want to carry a proper chain tool and a wide selection of tools without bringing a whole toolbox.
