The Runwell COG1218L Fixed Steel & Ti Cog Wrench is a sprocket and lockring tool designed for installing and removing fixed gear sprockets from 12T to 18T. The main advantage is that you avoid dealing with a chain whip that can come loose and damage the bike or yourself. The tool grips the sprocket directly and transfers torque efficiently, making it easier to remove sprockets that have seized tightly in the hub threads.
Runwell is a Japanese tool brand from Tsubame-Sanjo, specializing in hand tools for track bikes and fixed gear. The COG1218L was developed based on requests from a mechanic who wanted to work faster during frequent sprocket changes. One side fits 12–15T sprockets and the other 16–18T, while the tool also functions as a lockring wrench.
This is an especially good fixed gear sprocket tool for bike mechanics and velodrome cyclists who often change gearing. The wear plates are replaceable, giving the tool a long lifespan. The COG1218L is made in Japan and intended for sprockets and lockrings made of steel or titanium – not aluminum or carbon fiber.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
