This is the chain wear indicator we use every day in our workshop. The Unior Pro Chain Wear Indicator measures chain wear on a scale from 0 to 1.2 percent. Unlike a simple gauge with fixed inspection thresholds, it lets you track how wear progresses and replace the chain before it causes unnecessary wear to the cassette and chainrings.
The two measuring pins fit between the chain links, and the movable arm shows the reading in the window. The replacement threshold follows the chain manufacturer's recommendation for the specific chain. A useful tool for regular maintenance, both in the workshop and at home. Unior is a Slovenian manufacturer of seriously good bike tools.
