Chris King NoThreadSet Headset 1-1/8" - Black

Chris King NoThreadSet 1 1/8" is the classic external headset for frames with an EC34 head tube and a straight 1 1/8" fork. The standard is EC34/28.6 at the top and EC34/30 at the bottom, making it the right Chris King headset for many classic road, touring, MTB, and custom builds with the traditional 1 1/8" standard.

NoThreadSet is one of the components that built Chris King's reputation. The bearings are made by Chris King themselves in Portland and are fully serviceable, so they can be cleaned and greased instead of replacing the entire headset. The 1 1/8" version also uses the GripLock system to maintain the correct bearing preload, even when the bike is put through its paces.

This version has a black anodized finish and Chris King's classic Bold marking, with the KING logo taking up a little more space than on the Sotto Voce versions. A natural choice if you're looking for a black Chris King EC34 headset for a build where performance, serviceability, and finish all matter.
