The Cinelli Vai is an ahead stem for 31.8 mm handlebars and fork tubes with a diameter of 28.6 mm, also called 1 1/8 inch. It is suitable for those looking for a black Cinelli stem for a modern road, gravel, or urban build and want a simple, discreet cockpit.
The stem is 3D forged from 6061-T6 aluminum and features a removable faceplate with four screws. Cinelli’s wing logo is integrated into the faceplate, giving the stem a clear Cinelli detail without being over the top.
Vai is available in lengths from 90 to 130 mm. The choice of length affects the reach to the handlebars, so compare it with your current stem if you want to maintain a similar riding position.
The angle is 84°/96°, which corresponds to about +6° or −6° depending on how the stem is mounted. By flipping the stem, you can therefore position the handlebars slightly higher or lower.
Before ordering, check that the handlebars have a 31.8 mm clamp diameter and that the fork tube is 28.6 mm or 1 1/8 inch.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
