Cinelli’s Last Nemo for Rim Brakes Landed in Our Happy Hands The day before Christmas Eve, we emailed Cinelli about the frame in question; there was no rush for the customer to wait for their dream bike. However, the response from Milan made us speed up the process – there was only one unpainted frame set left! The rim brake version would also be discontinued in 2026. A month later, the frame arrived in its curry yellow paint with a glossy finish, a great choice in our opinion. Meanwhile, we had agreed that the Campagnolo Super Record 12-speed was the right choice. An Italian-made bike should also be adorned with Italian components. Carbon fiber and titanium, the best of the best, but still a mechanical groupset. Electronic shifting is certainly a fun development, but the question is whether steel cables will outlast the battery-powered shifters. The Zipp wheels were already owned by the customer. Unfortunately, the front hub was completely oxidized, so the wheel had to be rebuilt—no problem. The rear hub had a Shimano/SRAM body, and since the wheels were over 10 years old, there was no Campagnolo body to be found despite our thorough search. Hope RS4 solved that problem, so now it spins smoothly. For the enthusiast, we can share that the wheels are laced with Sapim CX-Ray spokes. We chose the Cinelli Neos kit, meaning the handlebar combo and seatpost. The red accent colors match the warm yellow tone well. A bit of carbon fiber on a steel bike never hurts, mostly for stiffness. May we be speechless?
