Why quality pays off
A cheap chain "stretches" (wear on the pins increases) faster, causing the sprockets to wear out prematurely. By choosing a high-precision chain made of hardened steel, you get quieter operation, better power transfer, and fewer rear-wheel adjustments.

Izumi Super Toughness (V-Chain)
The flagship. NJS-approved for Keirin racing. This chain uses specially hardened steel pins and rollers to eliminate flex. It is stiff, fast, and designed for top-level track cycling.
Izumi Eco / Standard
The entry-level model that gives you Izumi precision at a lower price. Excellent for the singlespeed commuter who wants Japanese quality without needing extreme tensile strength.
D.I.D and KMC – Different drivetrain philosophies
D.I.D Racing Pro
While Izumi focuses on raw strength, D.I.D is celebrated for its silky-smooth ride. It is often the first choice for velodrome cyclists who prioritize an extremely quiet drivetrain and minimal rolling resistance.
KMC and HKK
KMC (e.g. the K1 series) is known for its strong link plates and value for money. HKK Vertex is another NJS classic that, like Izumi Super Toughness, offers extreme durability for track cycling.
