Chrome Industries Merino Cobra 3.0 Hoodie is one of those garments that works from your morning bike commute through the rest of the day without requiring much thought. We’ve previously called the Cobra a true 24-hour garment, and that’s still a good description: a slim-fitting merino hoodie built for cycling but designed to look and function like a regular everyday garment when you step off the bike.
The fabric consists of 53% merino wool, 44% recycled polyester, and 3% spandex. The merino wool gives the garment its soft, functional feel, while the polyester makes the fabric more durable and the spandex provides extra freedom of movement. The result is a hoodie that works well as a mid-layer on cooler days, but also on its own in spring, autumn, and cool summer evenings.
The Cobra 3.0 has a high collar and a three-panel hood that provide more protection around your neck and head when the temperature drops. The two-way front zipper makes it easy to open from the bottom when you’re leaning forward on the bike, and the cuffs have discreet thumbholes that keep the sleeves in place when you reach for the handlebars.
The storage is also designed with cycling in mind. There are secure zippered pockets at the front and a full-width pass-through pocket at the back, providing extra space without changing the garment’s clean look. The photos also show the relatively close, athletic fit and the slightly longer back, which works naturally in the cycling position.
Merino Cobra 3.0 is neither a dedicated cycling jersey nor a regular cotton hoodie. That middle ground is precisely what makes it so useful: technical enough for daily bike commuting and longer rides, yet understated enough to be an obvious choice for the rest of the day.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
