Brooks B17 Special Titanium - Honey

Brooks B17 Special Titanium is a bicycle saddle for anyone looking for a lighter, more premium leather saddle. The shape is the same one that has made the B17 Brooks’ best-known touring saddle, but here you get titanium rails and frame together with hand-hammered copper rivets. The result is a B17 weighing approximately 410 grams—just over 100 grams lighter than the standard model with steel rails.

The vegetable-tanned leather is stretched over the frame and flexes naturally as you ride. Unlike a padded saddle, the leather gradually shapes itself to you and becomes more personal the more it is used. This also means that a B17 needs a little time before it is fully broken in. The Honey color develops a distinct patina over the years, which is a major part of the charm of a Brooks leather saddle.

With a width of 175 mm, the B17 is designed for a less aggressive riding position than narrower road and track saddles. It is particularly well suited to touring, long-distance riding, gravel, and bicycles where you spend many hours in the saddle. Our general tip is to position the handlebars roughly level with or higher than the saddle for a riding position that works well with the B17’s shape.
