Chris King NoThreadSet Headset 1-1/8" - Sotto Voce Silver

Chris King NoThreadSet 1 1/8" is the classic external headset for frames with an EC34 head tube and a straight 1 1/8" fork. The standard is EC34/28.6 at the top and EC34/30 at the bottom - the right Chris King headset for many classic road, touring, MTB, and custom builds with the traditional 1 1/8" standard.

NoThreadSet is one of the components that built Chris King's reputation. The bearings are manufactured by Chris King themselves in Portland and are fully serviceable, so they can be cleaned and lubricated instead of replacing the entire headset. The 1 1/8" version also uses the GripLock system to maintain the correct bearing preload even when the bike is put through hard use.

This version comes in silver with Chris King's understated Sotto Voce marking. A particularly fine choice if you're looking for a silver 1 1/8" headset for a build with polished or silver components and want a component that is both serviceable and built for very long-term use.
